The MR-G series is G-SHOCK's highest-end line. The MRG-B5000 is the MR-G model created from the first G-SHOCK model DW-5000C by using metallic materials and meticulous finishing. The bezel, which has a complex shape, is made up of 25 parts, making it possible to polish each part down to the smallest detail and achieving a higher quality finish. The bezel is made of a new shock-resistant structure called "Multi-Guard Structure," which is made of stainless steel plate springs and silicone buffers between the bezel parts to increase its strength. The band pins and bezel parts are coated with a blue IP coating on a black base coated with diamond-like carbon, inspired by the "blue ink" used in ink paintings and calligraphy. The face features a brick pattern, the identity of the first-generation DW-5000C model, with blue vapor deposition. In terms of functionality, the DW-5000C is also practical, with radio wave reception and Bluetooth® communication functions that allow it to be linked to smartphones.
