Portuguese Perpetual Calendar 42

The Portuguese Perpetual Calendar 42 is an IWC watch that combines a popular complication with an in-house movement.
Developed by Kurt Klaus in the 1980s, IWC's perpetual calendar automatically identifies differences in the length of each month and leap year and can be easily adjusted using a single crown. Now, for the first time ever, this complication has been integrated into a movement of the 82000-calibre family. The Portuguese Perpetual Calendar 42 shows the date, month, and day of the week on three subdials at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, as well as a moon phase display and a leap year indicator. In addition, the IWC-manufactured 82650 caliber Pellaton automatic winding mechanism with integrated ceramic parts stores a 60-hour power reserve. This timepiece is 42 mm in diameter with silver-plated dial, gold-plated hands, and 18K gold appliqués. Timeless and elegant, the Portuguese is presented on a brown Santoni alligator leather strap.
