The railway track minutes, appliquéd Arabic numerals, and leaf hands clearly express the distinctive Portuguese style.
The Portuguese Automatic is one of the most successful models in the Portuguese collection from Schaffhausen. The well-proportioned dial follows the classic design of the original Portuguese from the 1930s. The now legendary Pellaton automatic winding mechanism uses extremely wear-resistant ceramic for the winding pawl, self-winding wheel, and rotor bearings. It is also equipped with two barrels and a remarkable seven-day power reserve. In addition, the ergonomically redesigned lugs offer the best possible wearing comfort, even for those with narrow wrists. This model is offered in a 42.3 mm diameter stainless steel case with a blue dial and rhodium-plated hands. The rotor has been slimmed down and the transparent sapphire-glass back allows a closer look at the IWC-manufactured 52010 caliber, including the winding mechanism's black ceramic pawl and Côtes de Genève decoration.
