Breitling has been the leading chronograph manufacturer since its inception in 1884. The company gained its status through both the invention of the independent push-buttons on the wristwatch chronograph in 1915 and the introduction of the iconic Navitimer in the 1950s; a pilot’s watch equipped with an aviation slide rule.
In 1999, in pursuit of even higher precision for its wristwatches, the brand declared all 100% of its timepieces as COSC-certified chronometers, and in 2009, it introduced its first movement both developed and manufactured in-house. Breitling’s collection is not only distinguished by its technical complexity, but also by its high-end aesthetic appeal and the quality of its finishing.
