Glashütte Original is a manufacturer that inherited the high-level technology of GUB (Glashütte National Watch Company), a watch brand that existed in Glashütte, the holy land of German luxury watchmaking. The company was privatized four years after the 1990 East-West German reunification and moved to its current structure.
In addition to luxury models such as the Senator and Pano, which inherit the Glashütte tradition of three-quarter plates and swan-neck hands, the sporty SeaQ has been well received worldwide. Of course, the brand still maintains its Made in Germany policy.
