This mid-size model of G-SHOCK's top-of-the-line "MR-G" incorporates the traditional Japanese color "Kachi-iro" into its design. The design motif "Kachi-iro" refers to a dark navy blue color that has been used in Japan since ancient times. Originally described as "brown" or "pounded color," it was favored by samurai warriors as a "winning" color and was often used for armor and armors. The base model MRG-B1000, which has achieved a compact size that fits comfortably on the wrist through the development of unique miniaturization technology, is accented with "Katsushiro" on the inside of the bezel, the inner dial, and the logo. In terms of functionality, the MRG-B1000 is also practical, with radio wave reception and Bluetooth® communication functions that allow it to be linked to smartphones.
