This is a model of G-SHOCK's top-of-the-line "MR-G" line that incorporates the traditional Japanese color "Kachi-iro" into its design. The design motif "Kachi Iro" refers to a dark blue color that has been used in Japan since ancient times. Originally described as "brown" or "pounded" color, it was favored by samurai warriors as a "winning" color and was often used for armor and armors. The base model is the MRG-B2000, which uses Japanese motifs on the dial to combine strength and glamour. The base face of the dial has a "scale pattern" and the outer circumference has a cut surface reminiscent of a fan/byobu (folding screen), creating a simple yet gorgeous texture. The indexes are also decorated with beautiful edges and curved surfaces, which are the result of Yamagata Casio's nano-fabrication technology, to express the warping of a sword. The inside of the bezel, the inner dial, and the logo are all colored in "Katsushiro" to create a robust design. In terms of functionality, the watch is also practical and compatible with smartphones through radio reception and Bluetooth® communication functions. The MR-G is a product that inherits the strength and aesthetics that have been handed down from ancient times in Japan, with attention paid to materials, construction, and functionality.
