To commemorate the 160th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Japan, Girard-Perregaux is launching two L'Oréat models.
Each is limited to 100 pieces and is a tribute to the longstanding ties between Girard-Perregaux and Japan.
The dials both pay homage to and are inspired by the Japanese culture with the color indigo. Inheriting the brand's long-established and iconic Loréat design, the Japan Edition is the culmination of the talents of Girard-Perregaux's craftsmen and women.
The case of this limited edition is made of lightweight grade 5 titanium, a tough, hard, corrosion-resistant, non-magnetic and hypoallergenic material.
This high-tech alloy has been partially polished to create an elegant contrast with the adjacent satin-finish finish.
In the Loréat tradition, the dial is a gorgeous indigo blue with Clous de Paris decorations, while the counters and flange are black with subtle and attractive color variations.
At the heart of the Loréat chronograph 42 mm is an in-house self-winding movement, caliber GP3300, composed of 419 parts, each decorated according to Girard-Perregaux's legendary high standards and capable of running for approximately 46 hours.
