This IWC model pays homage to Charles Darwin and the research vessel “HMS Beagle.” The case is crafted from corrosion-resistant bronze, a material once used for nautical instruments. As it ages, it develops a distinctive patina, cultivating a unique character found in no other watch in the world. The hands, hour markers, and inner bezel are beautifully unified in a bronze hue.The caseback features a powerful engraving of Darwin, the proponent of the theory of evolution. In addition to the in-house Caliber 89365, the watch is equipped with rubber-coated pushers, a SafeDive system, and water resistance to 30 bar. It combines the romance of history with rugged specifications capable of withstanding the rigors of modern adventure.
