In 1984, IWC launched the “Portofino” collection, named after the Italian port town that served as a resort destination for jet-setters from around the world in the 1950s and 1960s. Since then, the collection has blended the relaxed Mediterranean lifestyle with refined charm and elegance.The “Portofino Automatic Moonphase” is the first model to feature a moonphase display—previously available only in 45mm and 37mm diameters—in a 40mm case. It features a silver-plated dial with gold-plated hands and hour markers. The gold moon floating against the blue night sky creates a beautiful contrast.
