Portugies Automatic 40

The “Portugieser Automatic 40” is a model that retains its distinctive design while featuring a compact 40-mm case. Developed as a tribute to the first-generation “Portugieser” (Ref. 325), introduced in 1939, it features a small seconds sub-dial at the 6 o’clock position on a clean, highly legible dial.Since joining the collection in 2020, it has been available in this well-balanced size. At its heart is the IWC-manufactured Caliber 82200. The Pellaton automatic winding mechanism, which enables efficient winding, incorporates components made of wear-resistant zirconium oxide ceramic and provides the mainspring with a power reserve of up to 60 hours.
