Portuguese Chronograph

Introduced in 1998, the “Portugieser Chronograph” is an IWC icon that brings sporty elegance to the collection. Its unique layout—with the 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock and the small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock arranged vertically—offers excellent readability, while the inner flange, featuring markings in 1/4-second increments, enables extremely precise time measurement.This model features a 41-mm 18-karat red gold case, a jet-black Obsidian Black dial, and gold hands and hour markers. The dial is crafted through more than 60 processes, with 15 layers of transparent lacquer creating unparalleled depth and a beautiful luster. The sub-dials integrated into the base plate and lacquer layers, along with the three-dimensional upright hour markers set by hand, highlight the exquisite craftsmanship.Inside, the watch is powered by IWC’s in-house mechanical chronograph movement, “Caliber 69355,” which was developed with a relentless focus on robustness, reliability, and durability.
