Portuguese Chronograph

Since its debut in 1998, the “Portugieser Chronograph” has added a touch of sporty elegance to the collection. The dial features a unique layout with vertically arranged sub-dials, placing the 30-minute counter at the 12 o’clock position and the small seconds sub-dial at the 6 o’clock position. It is equipped with an inner flange marked in 1/4-second increments to ensure precise time display.The 41-mm stainless steel case is paired with a dune-colored dial, gold-plated hands, and upright hour markers. The dial, crafted through a 60-step process, achieves a lustrous sheen and depth by applying and polishing 15 layers of transparent lacquer. The sub-dials are machined into the base plate and lacquer layers, and the hour markers are applied by hand after a three-dimensional printing process.The watch is powered by IWC’s in-house Caliber 69355, a mechanical chronograph renowned for its robustness and durability.
