The Pilot's Watch Chronograph Spitfire is the first IWC watch to feature a chronograph movement from the 69000-calibre family.
For the first time in IWC's history, a Pilot's Watch Chronograph with a movement from the 69000-calibre family is presented in a case reduced in size to 41 mm in diameter. 69380 calibre, manufactured in-house by IWC, is a robust chronograph movement with a traditional column wheel design. Two subdials at 9 and 12 o'clock display the measured hours and minutes. The bi-directional pawl-winding mechanism stores a 46-hour power reserve. With its stainless steel case, black dial, and brown calfskin strap, the colors of this highly functional chronograph are inspired by the cockpit of a Spitfire. The soft-iron inner case effectively protects the movement from magnetic fields.
