Who is ULYSSE NARDIN?
Ulysse Nardin, founded in 1846, is a traditional Swiss watch brand. After the Industrial Revolution, trade became prosperous worldwide in the mid-19th century, and highly accurate marine watches came to be demanded, and Ulysse Nardin marine chronometers were loaded on many trading ships. In Japan, after the opening of the port of Yokohama, many trading ships began to demand Ulysse Nardin marine chronometers, and the Fabre. The Fabre Brand Trading Company in Yokohama sold Ulysse Nardin marine chronometers.
Furthermore, Ulysse Nardin owns the prestigious Donze-Cadran dial workshop, and is one of the few brands that can produce its own "Grand Feu" (high temperature firing) enamel dials, which are considered to be the best in the world.

Special model celebrating the 60th anniversary of COMMON TIME
COMMON TIME, a Yokohama-based watch specialty store, will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2024. To commemorate this anniversary, Ulysse Nardin and COMMON TIME have created a special limited edition model. Yokohama was the first port in Japan to be opened to foreign trade, and it was also the place where trading ships from many countries gathered, carrying Ulysse Nardin's marine timepieces. Yokohama was also the place where Fabre, the first Japanese importer of Ulysse Nardin marine chronometers, was established. Brand Shokai, which was the first importer of Ulysse Nardin marine chronometers in Japan. This strong relationship has led to the birth of this watch.
Three-piece enameling" not realized in regular models
Normally, Ulysse Nardin's Donze-Guadrin enamel dials are fired one at a time. However, for the COMMON TIME 60th anniversary model, a special three-piece firing process was adopted.
Three-piece firing is a technique in which the main dial, the subdial for the seconds hand, and the power reserve subdial are fired separately and assembled together. This process produces a three-dimensional effect, depth, and beautiful shading. This is a very time-consuming and technically demanding process that is rarely done. This is a special specification that was realized "only because of the 60th anniversary.

The back cover is see-through, allowing the eye to enjoy the automatic winding mechanism. The rotor, which rotates when the wrist is shaken, is often made of 18-karat gold, which has a high specific gravity in luxury brands. Ulysse Nardin also uses 18-karat gold for the rotor, but this limited edition model uses 22-karat gold, which has an even higher specific gravity and makes the rotor turn more easily. The rotor is made of 22k gold. This is the first time Ulysse Nardin has used this material. At the heart of this watch is the UN-118, a special self-winding machine created by Ulysse Nardin in his own workshop.
