In 1984, at the height of the quartz era, the legendary Chronomat model signaled the resurgence of mechanical watches. Developed in collaboration with Italy’s elite aerobatic team, the “Frecce Tricolori,” this masterpiece combines the rugged durability needed to withstand the harsh conditions of the cockpit with an elegance suitable for formal occasions.
Its striking beauty lies in the combination of a sophisticated white sunray-finished dial that adds a sleek touch to the wrist and black chronograph counters (commonly known as a "panda dial").
With the 2026 update, the design has evolved into a seamless, linear case design (lugless construction) that eliminates the lugs.Furthermore, with the case thickness slimmed down to 13.77 mm, it retains the Chronomat’s signature boldness while offering an exceptional fit that slips easily under a shirt cuff. Of course, the bezel featuring the iconic “rider tab” and the “Loulou bracelet” with its exquisite feel remain intact.
At its heart lies the in-house "Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01" (COSC-certified), boasting a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. With a water resistance of 200 meters, it is a reliable companion that truly "adapt[s] to any environment," from everyday wear to active pursuits.
