Iron Color -KUROGANE-IRO-
The MRG-B2000 is the latest addition to G-SHOCK's top-of-the-line "MR-G" series and is based on the design motif of "iron color. Tetsu-iro" is a deep dark blue-green color that appears when iron used for armor is quenched, and is a traditional Japanese color. The MRG-B2000 clad in "Tetsu-iro" expresses not only the strength and dignity of the tough iron armor, but also the noble spirit of the samurai, which is expressed in their imposing attitude, honesty, and beautiful gestures, as well as the grace and dignity of the samurai, as a Japanese aesthetic sense. The bezel, case, and band are decorated with DarkGreenDLC and GreenDial to express the "color of iron," and yellow gold is used as the differential color. The dial is decorated with a tortoiseshell pattern, which is an auspicious design, and the periphery is textured to resemble a folding fan/byobu (folding screen).
B2000RG features recrystallized titanium on the bezel and a fluorine rubber DuraSoft band. In terms of functionality, the B2000RG combines practicality with radio reception and Bluetooth® communication functionality to link with smartphones. In addition, the watch is polished to a rough finish, undergoes a double hardening process, and features a sapphire glass with an anti-reflective coating.
